Hong Kong includes more than 250 islands, and the city itself has exactly 77 piers for yachts, boats and waterbus.
Yachts have quite a lot of classes, but for an ordinary 1-day trip, a Cruise or Junk class yacht is suitable.
They are usually handed over for 8 hours. Expensive yachts are rented only from 1 week.
There are 15000-35000 HKD in the budget for 8 hours, old enough (2000s) winded ships, on which 30 people pile up to drink alcohol. It doesn’t care about details, luxury and frills. Plastic chairs and everything worn out are what we deserve.
More or less something decent starts with a price of HK$45,000 for an 8-hour rental.
The high price tag for yacht rentals in Hong Kong is due to expensive fuel, high wages, and other important costs associated with owning a yacht in Hong Kong.
How much does it cost to rent a yacht in Hong Kong?
I only recommend what I’ve tried out personally.
1.Junk boat. I had a great 8 hours on this ship. A fast enough vessel. And everything is clean, even if it’s old. Captain old grandfather and his assistant (also an old grandfather) were with us. In general, they were as inconspicuous as possible.

I made up the route of this sea voyage myself!
First, we bought groceries in Harbour City shopping mall in City’super supermarket. At exactly 12:00 to the pier next to StarFerry TsimShaTsui – Kowloon Public Pier
our junk arrived, loaded up in a minute and sailed for 3 hours to the best bay in Hong Kong – Tai Long Wan with three beaches.
On the way, we stopped to swim for half an hour on the beach at Bluff island.
We passed through a narrow strait to the left of Town island.
Even at +35, you must take a windbreaker!
Oh, what mountains, what views!
Then the junk sailed to the beach and we swam to the shore, sat in a cafe with beer.
Usually, to get to this beach, you need to take a taxi for 1 hour, and then walk through the forest for half an hour.
Then we had a not very successful fishing trip for half an hour.
We swam in a nearby – Long Ke Wan Beach
and we sailed back to TsimShaTsui for 3 hours under the already starry sky, completely indulging in the gorgeous views and our thoughts!

2. The yacht 63 feet 2012. For a maximum of 30 people. Outwardly, she looks more solid. And the price is more expensive.
This yacht costs HK$17,800 for a 4-hour cruise in Victoria Bay. If you want to repeat my route as a junk, multiply the amount by 2.
Important points when booking.
You can swim in Hong Kong from May 1 to October 1.
Take on board a large Bluetooth speaker, towels, drinking water, groceries, fruits, alcohol.
Setting up a barbecue and making BBQ, kebabs, as a rule, are prohibited.
You can order catering.
Below is the catering option offered for a yacht 65 feet taller:
1. Order catering. Buffet style, about 10 dishes (very simple, rice, vegetables, a couple of types of meat)+ soft drinks.
The price for 8 people is about 3500 HKD
Higher-level food, about 4800 HKD
2. Chef and waiter (usually take large groups) + food = about 12,000 HKD
Fishing rods, SAP boards, a water slide – everything can be ordered for extra money, but much in advance!

Naturally, the most profitable way is to rent a yacht for 30 people, then the price per person will be low.
But personally, I have such a specificity that I only do individual tours, so no more than 4 tourists on board have previously ridden.
I also conduct regular excursions in Hong Kong, Macau and China, as well as arrange car transfers.

3. Yacht karaoke mahjong in the bay
Price 18000 HKD (up to 20 people) for 8 hours in Victoria Bay. On weekends, it is more expensive – 26000 HKD.
